About Me

I'm Brian Conway, the founder of Ascent Public Relations, based in Allen, Texas. Before launching Ascent, I led Corporate Communications & PR at TGI Fridays and served as Digital Director at Weber Shandwick.Over more than 20 years, I've turned a natural instinct for storytelling into a career helping brands of every size tell their stories in ways that move audiences to act. My work spans clients like American Airlines, Royal Caribbean, RingCentral, Goosehead Insurance, HOYA Vision Care, Unilever, GlaxoSmithKline, and the U.S. Army. A career highlight: my work for Breathe Right Nasal Strips at the 2014 Belmont Stakes earned a Cannes Bronze Lion for driving national media and consumer attention.I also specialize in crisis communications—building response frameworks, leading real-time monitoring, and training teams to respond with clarity under pressure. That work has included American Airlines, Royal Caribbean, and Cathay Pacific.I grew up in Baton Rouge and earned my BA in Communications and PR from Loyola University New Orleans, where I met my wife, who shares my love of Louisiana. I'm an active member of PRSA and the Allen-Fairview Chamber of Commerce.
